No account, no upload

CutlistPal does not ask you to create an account and does not ask for your name or email address. The cut list optimizer runs in your browser: the sizes, quantities, prices and part names you type are processed on your own device and are not sent to our server. The only thing the tool itself sends is an anonymous button click count, which never includes your list.

What is stored in your browser

Your current list and settings are kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there when you come back. This data stays on your device. You can remove it by clearing the parts list or by clearing your browser's site data.

The page address also carries your list after the # sign, so that you can bookmark or share it. The part after # is not sent to the web server when the page loads. If you share the link, anyone who opens it can see the list.

Files you import or export

CSV files you import are read in your browser. Files you export (CSV and PDF via your browser's print dialog) are created on your device.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. These services receive standard information about your visit, such as the page, the referring site, your browser and device type and your approximate location. They do not receive the contents of your cut list.

Button click counts

To decide which features to build next, the tool counts how often its main buttons are used: Calculate, Print / PDF, Share link, Cut list CSV, Export CSV and Import CSV. When you press one, your browser sends our server only the name of the button and whether you work in inches or millimetres. These counts are stored with Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine as anonymous totals. We do not store your IP address, set cookies, or record any user ID, device ID or the contents of your cut list, so a count cannot be linked to you or to your other visits.

Advertising

CutlistPal does not show ads at the moment. If that changes, we will update this policy before any ads appear.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the files requested, for security and reliability.

Children

CutlistPal is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
